Biography

George Arthur Youngs was born Oct. 1, 1887, a son of Robert W. and Martha (Chenoweth) Youngs of Lot 21, Concession 4. He and his brother Charles moved out West to the area of Didsbury, Alberta.  George enlisted in January of 1918 and served in England and France.  Wounded in the left arm and left thigh, he was discharged on demobilization in May of 1919.  He returned to Didsbury and purchased farm land through the Soldier Settlement Board.  He married Janet May Bradshaw and they had 3 sons - Robert B., Clarence G., and Charles W.
