Mary McLymont was born on June 17, 1887 in Cunninghamhed, Scotland. She was a nurse serving in WW 1. She met Canadian soldier John Lovatt Gleason when he was wounded and hospitalized. They were married on April 1919 in Chelsea, London. She arrived in Canada May 1, 1919. She died January 14, 1922 and is buried at the Cemetery on the Hill, Lakeside, Ontario, Canada
