Biography
Raymond William McGirr was the son of George and Jean (nee MacArthur) McGirr of east half Lot 28 Concession 9, East Nissouri Township. He enlisted into the Royal Canadian Air Force and served during World War II. When the war was over Raymond remained in the Military Service. He married Emmy Lou Shields and together they raised a family of 2 daughters and 1 son - Rebecca, William and Jocelyn. Although retiring from the Military in 1969, he then worked on the Dew Line until 1985. Raymond and Emmy Lou then retired to Gabriola Island, British Columbia where they currently reside in July 2015.
