Captain Daniel Quinn of Lot 9 Concession 10, East Nissouri Township was the son of Daniel and Anne (nee Boyle) Quinn Sr. He served with the Colonial Auxiliary Forces in the 22nd Regiment. Captain Quinn received the AUX VD medal in 1902 for over 22 years of service. He married Emma "Ada" McLeod on October 23, 1895 and they had two children. A daughter Bernice and a son Harold. He was also a member of the Kintore Gun Club.
