Biography
Robert Alexander was born March 18, 1891, the first son of John and Jane (McDonald) White, who at the time were living on Lot 3, Concession 6. When he enlisted, May 8, 1916, at age 27, Robert was an unmarried lumberjack living in Moose Jaw, Sask. He joined the Saskatchewan Regiment of the 1st Canadian Mounted Rifles. He died on Aug. 10, 1918, and is commemorated in the Bouchoir New British Cemetery, Bouchoir, Somme, France.
