Biography

James Merton Thompson of Lot 9, Concession 5, was 26 when he enlisted in the Army on Nov. 12, 1941, in Kitchener. He was discharged from service on Feb. 5, 1946. He received the 1939-45 Star, the France-Germany Star, the Defence Medal, and the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal with Clasp.
