Biography
Lieut. John Sutherland (January 20, 1840 - May 18, 1912) of Lots 7 and 8, Concession 5, and later 113 Kincardine Street Embro. Enlisted with Company 2, Oxford Rifles, Embro. Also served with 3rd Regiment, Oxford Militia, May 1847 to about June 1852. He was married to Mary Middleton and is buried in the North Embro Cemetery.
