Biography

Arthur Thomas Rutherford was born July 21, 1891, a son of Thomas and Sarah Ann Rutherford of Lot 27, Concession 7. When he signed on for military duty, he was a teacher living in Chatham. He died on Aug. 17, 1917, and is commemorated on the Vimy Memorial, Pas-de-Calais, France.
