Robert E. (Bert) Readhead was born Feb. 26, 1896, son of Thomas and Janet Readhead of Lot 6, Concession 8. At the time of his enlistment, he was a metal miner. He served with the Royal Canadian Infantry. On Nov. 1, 1918, he died after contracting influenza. His name is on the memorial in the Old Log Church Cemetery, Lot 10, Concession 7.
