Biography

Robert Alvin McDonald (1917-1960) of Lot 12, Concession 7, belonged to the Oxford Rifles. After enlisting in 1941, he trained in London, Ont., and Prince George, B.C. He went overseas in the spring of 1943 and took further training in England. He was in Sicily that fall and then fought in Italy, Belgium and Holland. He returned to Canada in the fall of 1945.
