Biography

John A. MacPherson was born April 18, son of John and Catherine (McKay) MacPherson of West Zorra Township. He was living in Ingersoll when he enlisted on April 1, 1918. He served with the Central Ontario Regiment of the 75th Battalion, Canadian Infantry. He was wounded on Sept. 30, 1918; returned to his regiment on Oct. 11, 1918; was reported missing in action in Valinciennes, France on Oct. 25, 1918; and was killed in action on November 13, 1918.
