MacDougald, Colin A.

Colin MacDougald was born in August of 1917. Colin and his wife Mildred were married at Cromarty (Perth County) on January 20, 1937.  In November of 1938 Colin and Mildred took over the store in Harrington.  They rented it from Minnie Clark until they purchased in 1944.  Colin was postmaster and also had an egg route and grading station at the store from 1938 - 1958.  While Colin was in the armed forces for about 2 1/2 years Mildred was the acting postmaster.  They later retired to Bracebridge.
