Biography
William Lupton (born Sept. 27, 1901) was a son of Charles and Edith (Innes) Lupton of Lot 35, Concession 8. He trained at Camp Borden, where he cleared trees and left the stumps with pointed tops. Brush was then piled on and around the stumps, and they became an obstacle course for recruits. He was then transferred to Listowel and a division of Lord Strathcona’s Horse. He worked in a supply depot. When he left the army, he farmed with his wife Willa and daughter Margaret near Harmony in Perth County
