Biography
Joseph Stanley [Stan] Hastings (1918-2004) of Lot 31, Concession 3, was born in Wiarton. He served with the Royal Canadian Artillery from Sept. 19, 1939, to Sept. 10, 1945. After the war, he was with the militia for several years, and received the Canadian Forces Decoration for his years of service. In 1943, in Scotland, he married Jane (Jean) Robertson of Scotland.
