George Alexander Gordon, born Sept. 15, 1892, in Embro, was an unmarried clerk when he enlisted. He said his mother was Jane Gordon and that she lived in Toronto. Following his service Gordon married Edith Louise Lund in 1924. They had 2 sons - Bruce and Ronald. Gordon worked from 1922 until 1958 for The Federation Fire Insurance Company of Canada, retiring as Managing Director.
