Private John Lewis (Jack) Chalkley (1897-1961) of Lot 25, Concession 5, West Zorra Township, enlisted in London, Ontario, on May 16, 1918, and he served in England with the Canadian Expeditionary Force. He was discharged on Oct. 1, 1919, and farmed on Lot 19, Concession 3, West Zorra.
