Cecil Martin Patience, son of William J. Patience of Lot 1, Concession 12, enlisted in 1949. He trained as an Aero-Engine Technician. He was stationed at various places in Canada including Camp Borden in Ontario, Moose Jaw in Saskachewan, then to Greenwood, Nova Scotia. In 1965, he was discharged due to health reasons.
