Biography
2nd Lieutenant Harold George McCarty, son of Byron B. and Minnie Helen McCarty, was born in 1916 in the Village of Thamesford. He married Jayne Madeline Harris from Michigan in 1937. In 1940 he volunteered for service and his wife and family moved to Ingersoll, Ontario. When Harold was discharged from the army, they moved to their farm at Lot 2 Concession 13, East Nissouri Township, Oxford County, Ontario.
