Biography

Wilfred A. Young was born March 1, 1894 in Thamesford, Ontario. His Attestation Papers stated his next-of-kin was his father Roderick Young of Thamesford, he was an unmarried bank clerk, and of the Presbyterian faith at the time of his enlistment July 16, 1917. Lieutenant Young served with the 1st Depot Battalion, 2nd C.O.R. His prior military experience was listed as 6 months with O.S.T.C. This paper was dated January 24, 1918.
