Leslie Bruce Young was born in Beachville, Ontario August 28, 1885. His profession was construction engineer. His Officers' Declaration Paper is dated September 22, 1916 at Truro, Nova Scotion, Canada listed that his next-of-kin was James Alfred Young of Hamilton, Ontario.  He was active in the military for one year with the 1st Field Troop, Canadian Engineers, and 22nd Regiment. He served in the 2nd Construction Battalion as Lieutenant.
