Biography
Allwyn Patience joined the Royal Canadian Air Force in the 1940s and went overseas. After the war he returned to Oxford County and bought a farm on the Governor’s Road, the west half of Lot 2 Concession 1. Allwyn’s bride Ellen, whom he married overseas, came later. Allwyn worked in Ingersoll and gradually worked into mixed farming and pigs. Later he became a North Oxford Councillor and Reeve of the Township in 1967.
