Alex LaPier was from Beachville and served in the army. He was severely injured while serving in the war.
We have located Attestation Papers for an Alexander LaPier with Regimental #112244. He was born on March 28, 1882 in Nixon, Norfolk County, Ontario. He enlisted on January 30, 1915 in Ingersoll, Ontario and listed his next-of-kin as his mother Mrs. Rogers of St. Williams, Ontario. He stated he was a farmer and had previously served in the 39th Infantry Battalion. As his enlistment took place in Ingersoll, it is possible this is the same person.
