James Kellum was born on August 16, 1884 in Beachville, Ontario. His parents were James (1849-1921) and Evelyn Kellum of Beachville. Both James and his brother John were telephone linesmen and worked in Detroit, Michigan prior to both enlisting in WW 1. James enlisted on February 28, 1918. His Regimental number was 2356460 and he served with the 47th Battalion Canadian Expeditionery Force. James died from wounds sustained in the war.
